The 21st " Cockpit Fest"- took place over the weekend of August bank holiday 2021 at the Newark Air Museum. The event is the largest of its kind in the UK, and draws a large number of restored airframe cockpits, panels and associated displays. The Newark Air Museum has a very impressive array of cold war jets and military transport and bomber airframes on static display as well as some superb aviation related indoor museum exhibits. Some notable restorations include the museums T33 jet trainer, which looked magnificent in her recently completed paint scheme..
CAF UK Wing exhibited the CAF UK Wing recruiting stand, alongside CAF Colonel exhibits of the restored USAF Dodge RAM minibus from Mildenhall, and the superb replica P51 Mustang cockpit "One More Time".
The three day event saw many hundreds of general public and aviation enthusiasts gather to discuss and view the wide range of air frame cockpits on display- from the earliest pre-war Dragon Rapide, right through to the current RAF Typhoon panel displays.
